Cincinnati's Ellis

he acts like a Jackass, and has teeth like one too. I'm sure the Quantum Physics lab he has on Monday is weighing on him.

wonder where these guys on other teams get the thousands of bucks for all the arm tatoos etc?

I know this drifts away from Octavius Ellis and his bush-league behavior, but on your subject, there's plenty of current and former (think the past 5 years or so) Purdue players that have a lot of tattoos as well. It's just become a more popular thing to do over the last 5, 10, 15 years. So anyway, you can't really use the "us vs. them" mentality when bringing up this topic.

Not only that, but most of the kids get them in high school now.

They did bring up during KY game. Ellis step father murdered his mother. Not defending the guy but I mean you know....

He isn't close to being as good of a player as Noah was in college or has been with the Bulls. He is a special type of d-bag and ahole all wrapped into one. He'll be lucky to make the NBADL.

Wasn't a comparison talent wise. Noah was hated by the teams he played against in much of the same way.

I understand what happened to him was horrible but it doesn't excuse his actions. Involved in a bar fight, started a brawl against Xavier, and his most recent incident against Purdue. What's even more sad is cinci gave this kid a 2nd chance and he continues to make a fool of himself

part of the problem of the whole country, too many people getting rewarded for bad behavior. If he wasn't a B Ball player , you think he would ever sniff the steps of a university? As far as tats, Cauley-Stein is running out of room on his body.

He didn't start the brawl with xavier. Wasn't on the court when it started. People like to talk about things they know nothing about. The racist tweets he has received from BBN are enough for me to like him a hell of a lot more than any of them.

Not defending, didn't know you knew him personally. You said he STARTED the xavier brawl, that's very false. I don't like when people claim to know a certain situation or person when they don't.

I would consider the 100's of people who were sending out very racially motivated tweets at him to be far worse people than him.

judging by the way he acts, he's a purveyor of stereotypes.

They say that the biggest thing kids in prison have in common is no father. The Cincinnati coach should be a father figure and when Ellis acted up, the Coach should have suspended him against Kentucky. Not playing would have meant a certain loss, BUT coaches today have to step up and do what is right for the kid.

I always thought Painter should have followed your advice and suspended Byrd. Byrd had off court problems and the costly flagrant foul which contributed to the team losing a game they should have won. Painter appeared to have a real soft spot in his heart for Byrd. Some coaches appear to know how best to discipline a player without all of the publicity.

Kudo's for defending this kid. All I know about him is that he threw a punch, unprovoked, at Hammons. I might change your statement to read:

"Your embarrassed if he's on your team, hate him if he's not."

The fact that he has had these issues before indicates that he may have serious anger management problems. I hope he can work it out since he has talent and puts forth great effort at being a good basketball player.
