2.3 mil for the guy with an overall losing record as head coach at Ohio State, a feat not accomplished since 1897!Coach Brohm hit the lottery here at Purdue in comparison. I really hope he is successful and makes us all proud.

He may have been, but he will do very well along with Freeman recruiting Ohio.Brohm was in a lot higher demand than Finkel.
Would you have rather hired Luke Fickell?Coach Brohm hit the lottery here at Purdue in comparison. I really hope he is successful and makes us all proud.
Probably not! Giving Brohm that much money is a concern. I just hope he can recruit and bring in a few 4 star prospects.Would you have rather hired Luke Fickell?
lol...Why do you care??Giving Brohm that much money is a concern.
We didn't do well in Ohio while he was here.He may have been, but he will do very well along with Freeman recruiting Ohio.

That's the name of game these days in big time college football. Hot coaches get paid. Baylor would have paid more (word is they offered Mike Gundy $6MM/yr, and are paying Matt Rhule $4-$5MM. Baylor is private so actual numbers have not been released)
$3.3 is mid-tier (#7) in the B1G now, right below Fitz at NW ($3.35).
Agree, an AAC school shouldnt be used to benchmark football coach pay. What's Brohm's buyout? That's the only thing that should concern fans - if he's an absolute disaster and we need to move on in three years.
Why would you compare Purdue to Cincy? Better school, better conference, better history, better coach. We should pay better!
