Chris Creighton of Eastern Michigan

He has never even been an assistant at a P5 school. Most of his stops have been very low level - not sure how this would translate to talent evaluation and recruiting

Dude has been winning a lot at multiple levels for a long, long time. Now he's starting to win at Eastern Michigan of all places; just beat Ohio on the road to go 5-2 with three very winnable home games left.

People look for other head coaches. Given Purdue won't be able to pay top dollar being one of the challenges, I think getting a very solid assistant coach is what Purdue should do. You get a lot more bang for your buck and quite frankly, I think we need someone that comes from the expectations of higher level programs. I don't think Hope or Hazell had "visions" of what Purdue should be and how you can actually get there. And someone from a higher level program will also understand how to recruit possibly....

Good coach, but an interesting personality off the field. Trumpets religion
Maybe like that guy that coached Colorado to an NC in the 90's. Other than that not very interested, needs sustained success.
