Unfortunately for Green, his injury opened the door for the unbelievable story that would become Kurt Warner, and future NFL HOF'er. Without that injury, Warner might never have had an opportunity.

He started for IU in the first college football game I ever saw in person.My favorite uncle,an IU fan and a great guy,took me to see the Hoosiers open the 1964 season at Bloomington in a 14 to 13 loss to Northwestern.
