Attached is the email I received today about next year's pre season BB tournament.

Good Afternoon –

My name is Grayson Moore and I manage the annual Charleston Classic basketball tournament. I wanted to thank you personally for your interest in our 2018 event and signing up for the discounted ticket pre-sale during March Madness. The purpose of this note is to confirm your inclusion in the pre-sale as well as provide more details about the ticketing process and event in general.

Seating for the Charleston Classic is general admission divided into two tiers – Sideline and Baseline/Upper. Sideline tickets will allow first-come, first-serve access to anywhere in Sections 103-105 and 111-113, which include the areas immediately behind each team bench. Capacity in this tier is limited so it’s highly recommended to purchase early if access to sideline seats is important to you. Likewise, Baseline/Upper seats will allow first-come, first serve access to anywhere else in the building. A seating map of TD Arena is attached for your reference.

The pre-sale period will run from10 a.m. ETonMondayJuly, 9through4:30 p.m. ETonWednesday, July 11. During this time you’ll have an opportunity to purchase Baseline/Upper all-tournament tickets at $25 off the normal price ($120) and Premium Sideline at a $15 discount ($90). I’ll follow up with the ticket link and exclusive code for early access during the last week of June.

If traveling from out of town please note that discounted hotel rooms at the Hyatt Place & Hyatt House will soon be available via our travel partner Anthony Travel. The connected properties are only a year old and conveniently located on Upper King Street just 7 blocks from TD Arena. To receive notification once rooms are available pleasesign up here. More information about Charleston as a destination can be found on ourTravel Page. Most notably, Charleston has been named the #1 small city in the U.S. byTravel + Leisurefive years in a row (2013-2017).

The tournament bracket and full schedule will be announced this summer. Four games will be contested each day on November 15, 16 & 18, with each team playing once per day. The strongest field in event history includes 5 returning NCAA Tournament teams (Alabama, Davidson, Purdue, Virginia Tech & Wichita State) as well as Appalachian State, Ball State, and Northeastern.

Thank you again for your interest in the event. I look forward to following up with the pre-sale promo code in late June and hope to see you in Charleston this November!

Best,

Grayson Moore

Got that today too. Was surprised by the price of the tickets, figured they would be at least 2x that price.

Wouldn't the "sideline" tickets be more expensive than the others? The "sideline" seats are the sections behind benches - aka the best seats.

There's still typically low attendance at these events and most people only go to the games their team plays in.

Clemson was in it last year and the championship game had an attendance of 2,200 (arena is 5k). When Villanova played as a top 5-10 team, their championship game had 4k which broke a record.

I didn't notice that, probably just switched the prices.
