I have a feeling we just might wind up with someone that is completely off the radar..........All I can say is RHULE is the most impressive of the names being thrown around. They totally shut down that high powered Navy offense. Not an easy task! Does it with mainly 2 star athletes. Whoever we get as a coach, I damn well hope he can coach kids up...........Not so worried about getting a coach that can come in and get 3-4 star recruits, as I am a coach that knows how to develop talent.

I completely agree. Rhule rules. Go get him Bo.

I don't understand why no team with an opening is talking to him.

He's been a position coach on both sides of the ball...he's done well with Temple. I don't think there's any skeletons in his closet

I sent the following email to Mike Berghoff on Oct 30th. His response to me is included below.

Matt Rhule has turned around a very bad Temple team. In three years Temple has gone from last to first in the AAC. Last week Temple beat conference leader USF 46-30 and yesterday Temple beat Cincinnati 34-13.

Last year Temple beat Penn State and lost to Notre Dame by only four points.

Head coaching record[edit]

2016 Temple 6–3 4–1 (Eastern)

Colin...thanks for thoughts on Matt. This stage of the search process includes investigating candidates...so timely.

That was a nice response. Can you imagine what Burke would have replied? No wait, Burke would have had Nancy Cross respond.

Berghoff is a salesman and a business owner, which means he's competitive and aggressive. (Unlike a certain HR bureaucrat). He HATES losing like this. So does Mitch, who has dropped F-Bombs at BOT meetings, in regards to the embarrassment our program has become.
