Challenges for next coach

I was all for firing hazell. As we see Purdue still has lots of work to do in order to win games. Coach Parker has done a great job with his style but it's not enough.
It's going to take some time for the new coach. Purdue just doesn't have the talent. It will take some time to get his recruits to come in and play. We are talking a few years.
To make things even worse, next seasons schedule is brutal.
We are going to have to be patient.

Top JUCO's and a solid recruiting class are a must!

We are a good coach and a year away from a bowl. The gap to six wins is not that great. The gap to compete with top 25 teams is much greater imo. Fortunately we can get to a bowl without beating one.

You think we will probably hire a new head coach in December or January. He might be able to land a few recruits but will likely have to wait till after the 2017 season to fully land his recruits. We got to be patient which can be hard.

There's no excuse to wait until January to hire a coach. That would be an epic fail by MB2. I'm hoping we have a coach by the first week of December.

The last two games have demonstrated that this team is simply not Big Ten caliber. It has neither the talent or depth. We have a long way to go. We will need a good coach is also a great recruiter to build up this program again.
