Cliz said he was wearing something on his hand that looked like a bandage. Why are so many of the players banged up? Maybe Painter and co. should lighten up some parts of practice.

Oh good Lord. He does that and you will be the first on here complaining that he is too soft on the players. Is there anything you won't complain about?

If we stopped recruiting HS kids and concentrated on more mature grad transfer students we'd likely have fewer injuries.

This seems to pretty much be the only type of material you post now. You'd rather take something you don't care for (myself discussing grad transfers in the offseason) and post about it rather than post about the actual game.

Meh. I think it was tongue-in-cheek. Nothing to see here.

I don't know, I'm just guessing, but I think SIBoiler was just reacting to your inability to post something without adding a criticism of the coach. In this case, an unwarranted criticism about lightening up the practice, when in fact, this is exactly the time he needs to push the team a little.

Don't worry, at the rate Painter's recruiting is going, he'll be back in the grad transfer market this Spring. AGAIN!
This critical recruiting class is going to wind up loaded with project players.
CMP is consistent in his hit and miss recruiting prowess.

This is accurate on the 17 class being full of project players, but the Painter apologists won't admit it. Hopefully they turn out better than past projects who were ranked similarly.

The original post was a bit silly, however. I don't see any reason to think Painter is being too hard on his guys in practice and getting them hurt.

I do remember back in 2011 after that season ended (i.e. VCU loss in JJ and E'Twaun's final season) that Painter said something to the affect of (paraphrasing) "thinking he should have lightened up the practices later in the season" when responding to questions about why the team lost 3 of their final 4 games that season. So, that gives me reason to believe that how they practice can be cause for some concerns/questions instead of just blindly thinking something like, "injuries happen" or "they're supposed to play hard and get physical: that how's they become tougher players".

This has been said about you by more than one person on more than one occasion.

And by the way, your comment was not about the actual game. It was about how Painter runs his practices.
