Yep we are not going to win every battle. Granted nag will use this as an opportunity to tell us all had we played zone he would of come here, the reality is we have a good program and there are many more very good recruits to get.Yep. Just saw it. Oh well. We have a lot of irons in the fire. On to the next one.
Or he just liked ND better. It could be just that simple.W
Guess the CMP position-less, versatility new sales job missed out in this case.

Bummer......Was really wanting him in gold and black.
He seems like the type of guard Brey has had success with recently. I totally understand his choice and he seemed like he fits the ND mold.
Looking forward to Purdue playing against him in the Cross Roads next year.
I didn't like what I saw either. The same goes for Hunter. Too left hand dominant. I do like Embery.Good. I didn't like the highlights I watched of him. Didn't want to mention that while he was still being recruited.
Rob Phinisee come on over!Wasn't a big fan of his propensity to punch guys in the nuts during games. Would have taken him if he wanted to come, but was definitely a little worried about him turning out to be the next Grayson Allen.
Plenty of options left on the board. Let's go get 'em.
Yeah. I have a hunch he'll be one of those players that this board spends a lot of time "discussing" the next four years.Wasn't a big fan of his propensity to punch guys in the nuts during games. I was torn wirhthis recruit.I think he would have fit well at Purdueand certainly has enough talent, but the, multiple incidents at games was a luttle concernung. Whelp...he is thr enemy now, so he'smade his choice.Yeah. I have a hunch he'll be one of those players that this board spends a lot of time "discussing" the next four years.
Kinda weak if that's the case. I grew up in SB...huge nd fan as a kid but it was an easy decision for me to attend Purdude for a MUCH more quality education and research. I actually enjoyed cheering against the Irish more than cheering for them.Hard to sell a guy that grew up a ND fan watching ND football ....just lucked out this

With the versatility of Eastern and C Edwards, they could easily shift to Sg if Purdue signed Phinisee. it's kind of we don't need to find another SG to replace Carmody. We just need to find a guard. At least Carmody was true to his word. He said he'd commit before school started, and he did.Not even same position.......
As one that wants Purdue to beat ND every chance it gets...there are a lot of factors to move someone to ND even without being catholic let alone being catholic. With the versatility of Eastern and C Edwards, they could easily shift to Sg if Purdue signed Phinisee. it's kind of we don't need to find another SG to replace Carmody. Maybe he didn't like the crowded backcourt of Purdue and wanted the opportunity to start as a freshman. if C Edwards, Wheeler, and Eastern pan out as predicted, how many years would Carmody have a chance to start? 1 ? 2 ? and at what position? SF ? I also believe he probably didn't like the way our SGs slide over and become SFs.
Was he Painter's #1 target/priority?
I wish him well at ND.
no just Irish.Bummer. Thought he would have done pretty good for us. Hard to understand wanting to play for ND instead. He isn't from Indiana is he?
Langford as in Romeo Langford??? I hope you guys don't actually believe your recruiting him do you?

I'm a Kansas fan and Kansas has even pretty much stopped recruiting him. Its going to be a three way battle between IU, Duke and UK. Id be very surprised if he didn't end up at DukeMost of us know Purdue has no chance. Just wishful thinking.
Calapari is his U19 team USA coach. What an incredible advantage there. I think he winds up at UK.
No need to denigrate the kid or his choice. It just looks petty and churlish. Maybe Brey sent him a better fruit basket at his hotel room (call back to a ridiculous thread on here about Illini recruiting). Maybe he prefers navy and gold sweatshirts. Maybe he just loves ND. May he have the luck of the Irish.Kinda weak if that's the case. I didn't mean to denigrate an 18 year. It wasn't my intent. My comment was really targeted at the poster who indicated that was the primary or mmm maybe the only reason to pick a school. He obviously took his time and visited several schools so I am sure thete was more that went into it than liking their football team when he was younger. My point was that I was catholic growing up in SB and loved watching ND. However that had zero influence on an important choice in my life of selecting education. No need to denigrate the kid or his choice. It just looks petty and churlish. Not sure what u are getting at, but anyone can easily look up the significant amount of research Purdue does more than ND (which was only is a 4year school in my major).Look, its apples and oranges for someine playing a D1 revenue sport and basically any other stuxent. Brey is a good coach, I don't deny that and I'm sure there was much more that went into his decision than many are making it out to be.lol keep telling yourself that
It just looks ... churlish.
Gotcha. I misunderstood. May have been a cumulative effect from a few posts that added up.I didn't mean to denigrate an 18 year. It wasn't my intent. Great skit! That's probably where I learned that wordThe only other time I've heard the word 'churlish' used is from the mouth of the inner-city substitute teacher:
