Can't believe I'm about to say this...I'm excited about 2017.

Haven't said that in over 2 years. I'm not drinking Kool-Aid, but happy to see what this rebuild will look like. From AD, to Coaches, to players and facilities, there will be some buzz around campus on that alone. Add some early wins and momentum can put them on the upswing in a hurry.

I must admit. I haven't reviewed much of the players in the 2017 class, yet I'm wondering if Tyler Hamilton will be one of the crowning jewels? That young man is slippery and fast. You can't teach his skills of vision, quickness, and eluding tacklers like he does. In the open field, he might hit a home run sooner than later. That is early talk on one player, and I'm sure there are several Brohm recruits that are worthy of keeping an eye on.
I'm hoping he has the academics as he has enrolled early and will compete for playing time right away.

I think this will be the most exciting offense we've seen in years. I also think we will win some games and surprise some people. I'm not willing to go as far as saying bowl eligible but I'm intrigued what may happen if we stay healthy and some of our newcomers surprise us.

2-3 wins. This is a true rebuild. Hazell burnt it to the foundation

Burnt to the ground, pissed on the ashes, and punched kittens on the way out.

I hope Purdue beats Buffalo...beyond that I don't have much hope. Nice to be somewhat excited about recruiting again though

Iu should be beatable without Wilson. Outside of that, competence is all I expect

Considering we don't play Buffalo, that's a tall order.

I'll say 4 wins coming against Ohio, Illinois, Rutgers, and IU/Missouri/someone we shouldn't beat but will surprise at home (best guess would be Minnesota as we are coming off a bye week and Minny plays Maryland the week before and MSU the week after).

I would like to see a team that does not quit for 60 minutes. A team that, unlike Hazel teams, will not become comatose after a minor set back, allowing the opponent to score three times within three minutes.

These alone will be an improvement in themselves and keep us in games.

I'm not so sure they were "quitting". Our depth has been so awful that Purdue players were in a lot more snaps than the competition. I just think we were gassed.
Regardless of how terrible your leader is, no one just accepts defeat.
