Those temporary raised courts scare me when active players like Basil race to save a ball heading out of bounds. Normally they just have to jump a table or crash into some fans, but here it looks like they'd fall four feet to the floor. Not good....

That is an optical illusion. Look closely at the corner and you see it is on the floor and the black scorers tables are raised. I had the same first impression.

With the rule changes you are correct. I hate them myself because it's forcing college basketball to be a NBA farm league.
Unfortunately talking heads like Bilas keep pushing the agenda even more every chance they get. Not surprising that rule changes/enforcement favor loaded teams like his Dukies!
