This probably sounds extreme, but this bunch of cheaters do not deserve honor of playing on Keady Court . Why haven't we heard from the NCAA about this matter? I believe in due process, but this isn't the first time for them. The death penalty is in order here , don't you think? It's a disgrace for this band of crooks to play in Mackey. I sure it's too late for the ACC to send another team in their place, so I say just cancel the game . Don't let this criminal enterprise step on the court in Mackey.

This late in the game, anything that happens to Louserville this season will be self imposed. My hope is they come in and Purdue gives them a humiliating beating.

It's like inviting a known card shark to a friendly Friday night poker game. You know he's been cheating but for some reason you think you can still beat him.

You want them to cancel the biggest home game of the year? That wouldn't be a good idea for anyone involved. Purdue would lose a ton of revenue.

I disagree, that game is not the biggest home game..if it was playing a clean team ,I would have to agree Bringing in a bunch of paid players to play the Boilers disqualifies it. We might as well be playing the Harlem Globetrotters.

By biggest home game I meant it will be the game with the highest revenue this year. We don't play MSU or IU at home this year. That will be a game against a top 15 team. They will not be cancelling it.

While I agree in principal....but not likely.

As far as penalties thinking the hapless ncaa has big bad death penalty teeth when it comes to one of their $ programs....has been a stretch lately. No doubt they should though.

It's on the NCAA agenda. They're going to dig deep into it right after they announce the UNC penalties.

I expect that there are significant penalties written into the contract for cancellation. So Purdue is punishing Louisville by paying them a lot of money, hmmm.
Purdue should abide by its contract, if somehow Louisville receives a death penalty prior to the game and that results in cancellation, so be it, although that seems extraordinarily unlikely.
If both Purdue and Louisville should be in the NCAA Tourney and meet, would you advocate cancelling that game also?

That's the problem with this industry, and that's exactly what it is. It's never going to end (The cheating) until this money mentality stops. Personally, I am about done with the whole thing.I stop watching pro wrestling years ago and the NFL this year, and I am about to give up on NCAA basketball unless something is done about this.

I can see this whole mess blowing over soon with very little penalties handed out. If the death penalty is not handed to Louisville and I'm Miami or SMU I'm suing the NCAA. What Louisville did and what they've been doing is no different from what those schools did and they got the death penalty. I personally feel if you get caught paying a player I don't care if it's just one time you should be banned from Ever playing in the NCAA in any sport.

This is probably the funniest thing I have ever read on this forum. You gave up watching pro wrestling because of the money and cheating?

The cheaters always won .I always wanted the good guys to win,but the bad guys always did. Kinda reminds me of the NCAA

I would rather give them that beating in the tournament, when it counts. Hopefully, they ( Louisville) will not have that chance. They should be banned from the NCAA tournament for at least 5 yrs. Besides,Mackey to me is hallowed ground. They should not be able to dirty that floor with their filthy shoes.

Isn't it a bit hypocritical to say playing them in the tournament is ok but regular season is not? If you're gonna be self-righteously indignant, at least be consistent.

Well the game will go on bcuz it was put in schedule long b4 all this mess happened and they very well do get death penalty but will be able to finish out season but will get hit with whatever penalties after season is over with including post season band again.

Am I being self righteous? I have supported a program, that to my knowledge, hasn't cheated and hopefully never will. I think I was talking about beating them.I would rather not play them again in the regular season. Hopefully we won't.

Maybe you need to refresh your recollection of what you said to begin the thread titled Cancel the Louisville Game

Louisville at home in the Big Ten ACC challenge is their best shot at a big time win. Canceling the game hurts Purdue in more ways than just money. They need to get that win for ranking and placement come tournament time. It's the same thing if hey win and get a shot at Arizona who cheated just as much. Purdue needs those games because canceling them would devastate their non conference schedule. It would punish Purdue and their players far more than it would Louisville and Arizona.

Reports are NCAA will be announcing UNC verdict tomorrow. Should be interesting, esp. in light of the FBI investigation and Roy's recent comments.

Louisville is filth. The administration, the faculty, the athletic dept and their paid athletes, filth, filth, filth. The entire B1G should boycott that filthy school in all sports.

I hope Purdue absolutely runs them out of the gym. But it will only be considered a big-time win if Louisville has a strong season. So it won't help Purdue if my wish comes true that EVERYONE dominates them this year.

Why wouldn't they have a strong season? They lose Bowen (likely). They still have the talent of a top 10 team. Do you think the interim coach is going to be that much worse than Rick? I have never been impressed with his coaching, but his recruiting (and cheating gets thrown in here as well) is top notch. Louisville should still finish in the top 25, and anything less would be shocking.

Besides the interim coach, everyone else at the top will be new. Do they even have a coaching staff yet? My comments were more about what I hope will happen. I don't want any school like Louisville to have their cheating rewarded with a successful season. It happens too often.
