I know everyone doesn't share this opinion, but I see it quite a bit.

Why? I think a pretty compelling case could be made for Purdue being more attractive if AJ returns, not less. For a kid that wants to play the 4, since it's better preparation for the NBA, wouldn't a solid 5 situation be an attractive selling point? Even if it's not, how in the world is Purdue's depth chart more intimidating than UK, Duke, MSU, and Arizona?
I don't know if it's just the "Purdue never lands any of these guys" loser mentality, or what, it's just never made sense to me.
