Wow it's improved ha haCompares to the visitor locker room at Ross-Ade.
Are you referring to the Union Building hotel? If so, it's Not bad. The hotel and restaurant are run by the Hotel & Restaurant Management students. I stayed in the hotel once and have no specific memories, good or bad (which is good). I've eaten at the restaurant multiple times and was always impressed.Whats the current condition? Looking for lodging within walking distance of athletic facilities.

OK. I got curious. I eat at 9 Irish Brothers and never knew what was next door. According to reviews, Brad's comparison above was overly optimistic.
Different motel. The one you are talking about was the Family Inn. It was in fact demolished, and it's now a church/community center/apartment building. The Campus inn was flattened / demolished several years ago. it was on Northwestern by Smittys which is also just a memory of the past.
allegedly.
Most people here would do the same if it meant a lot of $$$ , don't be naiveDifferent motel. The one you are talking about was the Family Inn. It was in fact demolished, and it's now a church/community center/apartment building.
The campus inn is easily the biggest eyesore in West Lafayette. It's the one right next to Bruno's and Nine Irish. Please don't support that piece of garbage--the owner is essentially holding the property hostage until he gets a massive payout from a developer. Really can't stand greedy pricks that stifle development of a city for their own personal gain.

It's what used to be called "Boone's Farm Place".you're right. it does look like a very nice church and apartment complex with recreation for campus students.
is the Campus inn what used to be known as the travel lodge in the levee?
no noise complaints, no limit on people in a room, mostly avoided by the cops until you drive out of it, and CHEAP.That old Travelodge was a dump when we moved to West Laffy back in '68.
Can't even imagine how it stays open...
Cheap hotels stay open because they're cheap, take cash and don't ask questions. Kind of like a poor man's Clinton Foundation. With the new hotel that was built across from Wabash Landing, I'm not sure how the Campus Inn will remotely be able to stay open. I am surprised they don't just shutter the doors and wait for a paycheck.
Ah yes. "The Family Inn where families begin." We always thought that should have been on the sign.Different motel. The one you are talking about was the Family Inn. It was in fact demolished, and it's now a church/community center/apartment building.

I recognize that pic! It's from the Mickey mouse TV series episode titled "Mickey's Bad Ear Day".![]()
Just can't keep politics out, huh?

The apartment I shared with 3 other guys in an old house on S Grant street sustained a fire in early August. The others were able to find other accomodations either a Co-op or Grad House but I dragged my feet and showed up to W Laf the day before classes started with no place to live. Slept in car for 2 days till Assist Residence Hall Director told me she found a place for me at The Travel Lodge-since that traumatic experience I have been divorced once and filed for bankruptcy once but at least I no longer am living in my car "down by the river"Wow. You had to live at the lodge? I am sure you must have a lot of issues today. How many times have you been married?
