This Merrillville Indiana linebacker is a former four star player that Purdue recruited coming out of high school. Given that he is an Indiana kid and that our defense made a 180° turn around this past season, I wonder if there might be mutual interest.

This is discussed in one of the other threads. We backed off him originally because of academic concerns. I suppose maybe they aren’t concerns anymore now that he qualified. However I think he mostly played special teams at IU. Regardless, Brohm has said we will not look for LBs the portal route.

Wow where is the LEO? Everyone is jumping that ship like rats on the titanic.

also by my count that is 11 of the 23 players leaving from that “star studded class.” Did coach Allen tell them on signing day “look around you. Half of you won’t be with us anymore 3 years from today.” They all still have two years and maybe three to make it...

Every school now is facing similar issues. Player loyalty is gone. Very few players remain at schools if they are projected to be backups their third year. The problem is when they transfer, The vast majority remain backups at their new schools. It kills your school’s depth and experience. Very seldom do schools replace a junior who is a backup on their 2 deep charts with a true freshman. What’s more important? Bringing in more freshmen recruits who may have more talent? Or keeping experienced players who will never be good enough to start? Somewhere there is a balance!

Coach Allen probably told that to his coaches too

Beat me to it as I was going to say/post the same...

What a joke, and, no greater evidence of it.
