Purdue football Burton is candidate for College Football Hall of Fame

The ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame was released today and former Purdue split end Larry Burton is again eligible and listed.

The deadline for voting for NFF members is June 20, and the class will be announced in January.

Burton was a first-team All-American and "Outstanding College Athlete of America" in 1974. He led Purdue in receiving in 1973 and 1974 and was a team captain and team MVP in 1974.
