We've seen him play well and we've seen him get "tired" very quickly. Matt's talked about his conditioning, and he certainly knows every inch of that. BUT i also see a seemingly high motor, high strung guy that seems to over adrenalize and play a bit "frantic" and with the usual result of quick exhaustion. Maybe even more than Berg, the game is happening very quickly and he's using a lot of energy on non productive movements and over reactions.
Probably pretty clear that I like Caleb and he's doing some good things for the team. But his inability to finish at the rim is hurting us. And seems to be developing into a "thing" with him. Certainly defenses are all over it if he gets it low. We need another post player that can operate to give Trey a break and let him float out a bit. Defensively Caleb is our best post defender, but Raleigh will be good in time.
i guess I'm hoping he starts getting regular minutes with the goal of having him be a factor off the bench by tourney time. Trey and Caleb may well be our best "big" lineup this year, but there's going to be game where we need to play big and 1 or both of them pick up fouls.
Im not down on Will, but the teams that give us the most trouble seem to be smaller and quicker in general, at least so far. I think he'll have some games where he's a factor.
