please. Having 4 days off in a row means MSU could not be tired in any way. They lost because MTSU torched their defense and it wasn't tired legs. MSU also shot great from outside the arc, so they can't blame tired legs for that either.
They didn't have 3 or 4 days off respectively. You have travel days coming off three straight days of games. It's not all physical but mental fatigue too.
I agree with paintball.....the championship game needs to be on Sat night not Sun afternoon. Other conferences already doing this. At this point in the season, you have to save guys legs even if they are 18-22 years old. AJ played 31 min against Mich and wasn't all that effective after that. Too late in the year to overload them.
Side note...what's the plan for the BTT when it's in NYC? The Big East is still having theirs there too right?
give me a break. There is plenty of objective evidence that playing late in the weekend in a conference tourney does not negatively impact your NCAA tourney performance.
The kids play 2 games a week almost all year long with usually no more than 3-4 days between games. Playing Sunday/Thursday or Sunday/Friday is longer than their normal break between games. And yes, your opponents often have the same turnaround. Was MTSU aided today by having 1 extra day off? I mean seriously?

Way too much time off/rest, especially if high seed is elimated early.
