BTN2Go Plus - on the fense

How good is the BTN2Go student broadcast? Is the video stream, announcers, camera work, etc. decent? Not sure I want to pay $10 to watch the game tonight vs. listening to the Clis. This is likely the only game I would get to watch on BTN2Go Plus so I would be paying the money for just tonight's inevitable blow out. What say you fellow Boilers, worth it?

P.S. And yes, I just realized I misspelled fence. PU engineering degree at work! (wish you could edit the post title). In my defenCe, I work for Rolls-Royce and spent two years in England and they spell defense with a C and I always get turned around.

I watched it for the exhibition, quality was excellent, running over a 20M cable broadband connection.
Surprisingly the announcers (students?) were decent. They knew all the players and the flow was fine.

It's gotten a TON better from what it was 2 years ago. I bit the bullet and got it for the game tonight.

It was decent. Not even close to ESPN3 but better than listening on the radio. This was the last game on BTN2GO so it cost $5.00 a game. For me it was worth it, had the whole family over for a PU b-ball party.

The quality is surprisingly good IMO as far as the actual stream. I'm relegated to a 1.5 DSL line out here in the boonies and it streams fine. The announcers are still a little rough but have gotten markedly better over the years. They're very animated, if nothing else.

I always record the replay on BTN. You know it's going to be a blowout so the result isn't going to be much of a surprise so why pay $10 for something I'll get for free in 1 or 2 days minus commercials and don't have to worry about streaming issues. It would be nice to watch the season opener live but just a small sacrifice. Plus I think it's the only game we have on it this season.

True statement about the announcers. Not sure what year they are in, but they are better than they have been in the past and are really starting to sound like professionals. Not there yet, but they are making progress
