Except the part where Hope had Tiller recruits and Brohm had consecutively the worst class in the conference for two years and then still went to a bowl.Very Hope-esque....
Except Danny went to no bowls and his teams had 9 wins. Brohm is further ahead than Danny was
Wow, somebody that thinks rationally about the situation. Nice post! Thanks for helping to contain the meltdown mess here.Seriously? We all knew this schedule was going to be more difficult than last year's. You can't just look at records year over year and sat there is no progress based on wins and losses. This team beat three ranked teams. Yes, the Minnesota loss is a bad one, but overall the trend is very positive.

You don't come out of the shadows very often, but when you do...slam dunk.Yep, beating three ranked teams in six games by a combined 48 points is an every year event on most Power5 campuses. Now let’s continue with this week’s edition of “Dumb Ass Comments,” . . . . Next

Not in meltdown mode, just disappointed we did not come ready to play. Don't really think this year's schedule is all that much tougher than last year's. We lost a lot on defense coming into this year I realize that. The Ohio State win was epic, and beating the other 2 ranked teams was not bad, but it is also likely that Boston College and Iowa were a bit over-rated being ranked in the first place. Your season is measured by how well you do over the entire 12 games and post season. If we don't finish strong over the next 2 games it does not appear we have made as much progress as we thought we did. Don't get me wrong, I think Brohm is the best coach we have had since Tiller and over time he may prove to be even more sucessful than Tiller. Things are looking up and recruiting has been strong and we are light years ahead of where we were 2 years ago, but a reality check like yesterday, sort of makes you re-evaluate how much progress have we made from year 1 to year 2.Wow, somebody that thinks rationally about the situation. Yep, difficult schedule with only 3 returning starters on the defense. No real depth. Everyone should have known this was going to be the most difficult year of the rebuild, there’s been some bad games but you have to be impressed with where the program is and where it’s going.
No I am not. Read the title of thread.
Purdue didn’t make a bowl game in his first year. You are still mistaken as the thread read "Danny went to no bowls", I personally saw him at one bowl game his first year!

2009 5-7
2010 4-8
RightYou are right. He did in his 3rd and 4th year.
Right
So the premise Brohm and Hope are having similar career starts is no a good one?
