Again, not getting Biggie and Ward, Brunk is the recruit I will really judge Painter's recruiting skills by. As mentioned in a previous post, I favor Brunk over Biggie anyway after watching both play. You talk about a Purdue fit in terms of effort, determination and grit...Brunk has it. His numbers would be double in high school if his coach demanded more interior passing. Now that he is 6'11", his spot on the block (which he loves) becomes more realistic than when he was shorter.
We have learned the hard way before - get guys who are talented AND fit the Purdue brand. There are enough of those out there, but Painter still needs to get the sales job done on the front end.
And yes, Izzo and MSU drive me more crazy than IU. I still think Izzo has a lot of "gray area" and I am not talking hair!
