Answer: "Because Minnesota lost their land to Ohio state who lost their land to Oregon. Minnesota didn’t have their original land when they played BG, so bg obviously wouldn’t end up with it".
In order to claim the land, you have to beat the team that currently controls it. We beat Illinois but Illinois didn't control any land so we don't claim it. We had part of Oregon due to our win over them, but Notre Dame beat us so they took that land.
