Will Painter and the Purdue BB Program win a coveted recruit battle this weekend? It would be nice if we can break the trend of being a nice 2nd...last loser!
Now there is the real crux of the situation.......when you aren't up to bat it is hard to get a hit......For years I have watched Purdue recruiting, and it seems like it is a rarity that Painter goes to war for a Top 40 guy, when IMO he really needs to be involved in one of these guys who fits our system EVERY year.....only then will he land one of these guys every so often.Originally posted by woggy718:
We have to continually go through these type of situations if we ever hope to land a high profile recruit.

Unless of course I'm reading into it that he's signing with us. Then, yes, you want us reading the hell out of that. LOL You guys are a funny bunch sometimes. If you don't put a positive spin on something, you're not wanting to hear it. LOL.Originally posted by lbodel:
Announcing for Cal in Oregon is like announcing for Purdue in Washington DC. Let's cool it on reading into things.
But being a realist, you would never do that.Originally posted by boiler-deuce:

And if it isn't something negative you totally dismiss it. But your hypocritical that way anyway.Originally posted by boiler-deuce:

Except for when I say the more big men declaring from UK the more I think AJ returns. IMO....he stays for his Sr year.Originally posted by purdue4sure:

We'll be pretty solid next year. 7 of our top 8 return and we get some injured players back.Originally posted by dumpsterFyre:
How is Cal even remotely a good "business decision?"
Even with Rabb and Swanigan, they're still a middling Pac-12 team where Rabb will be the showpiece. Pac-12 only sent four schools to the tourney.
If they add Jaylen Brown they would be a Pac-12 champ contender, but Swanigan will be the third option.
At Purdue, he could immediately be the center of our offense on a Top 25 team.
Well to be fair, Zo lost too.Originally posted by ghostoffatjack:
Very sad to read that Painter and Purdue did not win another recruiting battle for an Indiana kid to MSU AGAIN! He has to become one heck of a coach to reverse this damaging trend and bring in some Assistant Coaches to help him both on the court and in the recruiting battles. When you continually lose your home state, you have lost!
Let's just fire Painter and get it over with. He will never win these battles and will never be more than a once a decade B1G champion and occasional sweet 16 coach. It's time to move on.Originally posted by ghostoffatjack:

Good God shut up already. You have NO CLUE whether Painter will make it the FF or whether he will "win" these battles or not. None of us do and your constant 12-year old girl whining about it on here doesn't change that FACT.Originally posted by cprh9u:

One this also for sure and I have speculated for a while, you are no Boiler. You never have been and never will be and I will never make the mistake of taking you off of ignore again. You got me on thinking you were actually capable of a coherent thought .. I should of known better.
Leave it to the haters to crap all over getting Biggie in some fashion. And I love the whole I've-done-more-whatever-than-you-ever-will stuff since you have no idea who any of us on here are or what we've done. Just proves the point when you resort to that really.Pardon my facts but until BIGGIE what Indiana kid did Painter successfully recruit that either IU, Mich, ND or MSU was actively recruiting? Harris, Zellers, Dawson, etc, in our BIg 3 year only one was actively pursued by one of those and he ended up transferring there! Ignore me and the facts if you wish but I have been to more Purdue Football and Basketball games in my lifetime that you could ever hope to attend and watched the few that I could not on TV since the early 60's.
People like ghost will never let things go and crap all over every good thing that happens just so they can try and look good on the internet.Well thanks Jack for peeing in our cheerios.
