Do you think maybe he just doesn't want to be inundated by countless people asking the same questions over and over again?
I'd imagine CJB and his wife don't want him seeing all the crazy speculation going around through social media. Or it could be a horrible sign.
Since it is his Father's business being the coach, only one source of communication will take place, thru CJB.

That’s an obvious one, I agree with you. Plus, Coach is not announcing anything or leaving with two games left in the season. It’s not in his nature even if he was going to go anywhere.

Jesus, can we leave the kid(s) out of this? Searching for a teenagers twitter account for info is bad enough, but starting a new thread on an internet forum with just his name as the title makes it even worse. I highly doubt his family would be happy to see an entire post dedicated their teenage son.

Unfortunately this is the online world we live in. His terrible answers only caused more speculation. People are already attacking players and their parents for inside information.
He brought this to himself and all the poor 18-22 year Olds. Either yes or no and move on.
Brought what on who? This is how leverage works, it's just business. Brohm is using the crazy speculation to negotiate the best contract possible at either UL or PU. He is not going to come out and say anything leaning one way or the other. He has all the cards in his hands and does not need to say anything. We need to seriously tone down the intensity on this board and let him coach the last 2, hopefully 3 games of this season. The boards are getting more activity now than ever and a lot of it is absolute worst parts of us as a fan base speculating.
His focus should be the team and the team on the game. It's not. And we will drop the final 2 games
Not disagreeing with you, but does not media/fan frenzy of speculation feed his strategy of increasing his value? Similar to Painter leaving for Missouri. Not saying I agree with the frenzy (particularly when it comes to his kid) but the speculation and concern over him leaving by the fans I have to believe plays a part in what he is offered to stay (or leave for that matter).
Brohm is living the good life right now. Has a job being paid millions that he could parley into more millions and another job sitting there just waiting for him (if he wants it) that's also willing to pay him more millions. Not bad.
Ughh this isn't my first day posting. Why are you against conversation. I hope we win both games but this situation will make it a tougher task.

I may have stuck a nerve. Usually you are more level headed. I guess my point was how can this not play as a distraction. Even 1% is not good for a team like ours at this point in the season.

Could it be said then that the timing of BPs firing could be deemed as a sabotage to CJBs final 2 games at Purdue? He can’t possibly like how Louisville handled this.
He doesn’t like it, and they will regret that move. That’s a move you don’t make it if you have a relationship with a coach you were trying to strong army. No need to strong arm someone if the relationship is closed. If it was “a done deal“ and they wait a couple of weeks because that’s what you do if you respect someone’s current position.
.... unless of course there were 20 players on the roster requesting transfer papers ... which there were ... so you pull the trigger, so Jeff has a team to come coach next year. I think Jeff will appreciate that actually. Will make the rebuild that much quicker.
The rebuild is going to be much more palatable with all of the talent coming in next year at Purdue. He will prosper and UofL will move on and eventually compete in Div 1 sports again
Jeff will be setting up your next coach nicely ... if he can close the deal on that class. No reason why he couldn't.
