13 turnovers - still a few too many but when you see that our bigs had all of them (Swanigan 7, Haas 4, V Edwards 3) that's pretty damn good that our ball handlers had zip. We are making progress

Everyone's assist numbers look pretty similar. Unless you have one of the best point guards ever, that's ideal offensively.

Consider as well that of Swanigan's 7, one was on a jump ball after he had got a rebound and went to the floor...one was on a play where Bridges took the ball from him (and arguably fouled him) after another offensive rebound...one was when he "stepped" out of bounds with a defensive rebound when Van Dyck pulled him out and was out of bounds himself with his had on the ball and thus it should have been Purdue ball...and one was for a bogus screen that Steratore called and was not only a really bad call, but it was not even his call...it was not as if the guy was simply handing the ball to MSU or traveling or what not...the number is inflated and misleading if just considering the actual number.

That's a good rundown of them. I know when they said he had 7 turnovers towards the end of the game I was really surprised because when he typically has that many I'm sitting there counting them as they add up. If I had to guess how many he had at that point tonight I'd have said 2 or 3. They just weren't a bunch of careless turnovers like sometimes.

Boilers also did a nice job on the glass for the most part, and that's generally not easy to accomplish against Michigan State teams. It doesn't hurt when your leader corrals 17, but then there's Mathias flying under the radar (as usual) with seven.

I also liked that Dakich pointed out DM's improved defense on multiple occasions.

Good win for Purdue as it's not often they come out of East Lansing with a W; on to Lincoln, Sunday.
