What a beat down they are putting on Maryland! Almost 700 yds of Off. They look like a typical good BG team. We are gonna have to really bring it to beat these guys!

If we wanted to bring back the "cradle of qb's" we should have hired BG's coach several years ago, Dino Babers. Of course it is never too late.
You do know that a lot of great, great coaches started in the MAC or similar type conferences right?
Seriously. And Hazell was head coach for 1 year - basically using the previous coach's players. So it's not like he built a program and you can judge that.
As a note, Maryland is not expected to be good at all this year.
But either way, they have looked good offensively in both of their games this year.
Was making a point that had nothing to do with Hazell. Simply saying There are tons of good coaches who start in the MAC.
Like what a Tiller type? Wyoming, small conference, small school, similar to the MAC. You should know by now Purdue isn't going to go get a big name, It's just not what they do. We all would love that to happen but it wont.
My point was if we wanted to excite fans again, bringing in the "next hot MAC coach" won't do it.
We just need to find a young "HOT" innovative Off Cord! Still feel we need that Tiller style offense to compete in the BIG! Call it "GIMMICKY" or whatever ..................

like I said last year, I don't know if he lasts that long in the sec. I could see something working out like Capt. Kirk leaving the Hawks and Bret goes back to his alma mater and BIG10.
Has coached at Purdue also. Love me some Art Briles style offense, and Babers definitely learned a lot while at Baylor. He helped turn Jimmy Garoppolo into a 2nd round pick.
