Purdue has sold 11k tickets for the bowl game and total for the game is now over 50k total. Boiler Up.

That's not how that works. Each school is allotted an amount and then the rest are open to public. Purdue has a decent national following...I suspect we will be well represented.

50k is a pretty good number for a mid to lower tier bowl. And no, it's not a 4:1 thing as the teams get (small) allotments and the public can buy tickets well in advance.

Both schools were alloted 8k. Purdue requested 3k more. Auburn did not.

Each team was allotted 8k...we sold all of ours and requested more and sold those as well. Auburn did not request more...
