This was certainly not a win I expected based on the previous two Ls. Purdue defense stepped up and played their best all year. Congratulations on a hard fought win.

Absolutely agree! Definitely a game I was not expecting a win. Just a great defensive effort along with the offensive line play. Boiler up baby!
Defense played a great game.
I just hope we keep up the momentum. We seem to play down to our competition too often and Northwestern and IU are the 2 worst teams in the BT this year.
I kind of like the Duke mayo bowl. It would have an easier opponent! I’d also like the Outback Bowl in Tampa although it has a new name and sponsor. The competition would be a lot tougher but it’s on New Year’s Day with a lot of exposure! That would be a fitting end to the season and AOC’s career. It also gives Purdue some recognition, respect and a chance to break into the top 25 if they win!
I had originally hoped for Gator, but Mayo seems our most likely, unless two B10 teams make the playoff.
Another ranked win for Brohm. Crazy how he consistently steps up in big time games.
I will think Purdue will do well in these next two games.They handled the Wildcats and Hoosiers withot much difficulty last season and while the Boilermakers may not be as good as they were last season,the Wildcats and Hoosiers seem to be just as bad,or worse than there were last year.Concentrate Purdue.Be ready and play hard.If you do,you can win!
I’m almost wishing for Purdue to be co-west champs. But have some other team be sent to play Mich/OSU .
The likely scenario is that any team who plays mic/OSU will be slaughtered and suffer multiple injuries and finish the season at 8-5. Whereas the team that doesn’t go will finish at 8-4.
and there is additional precedent for not wanting to play. Several years ago either in the big 10 or the SEC when two teams were tied, the team that did not play in their league’s championship game was rewarded with a better bowl game than the team that played and lost.
if Purdue and Iowa end the season at 8-4, and Iowa plays and loses and ends up 8-5, Purdue will be the team that is selected to play in Tampa and Iowa goes to the Duke Mayo bowl game, or maybe Minn or Illinois go and the loser ends up going to the pin stripe or quick strike bowl at 8-5.

as always some teams that travel get the higher bowl eg. Iowa or psu So if Iowa would lose the Champ game they would get the better bowl over us.
I live in Jacksonville. Would love to see a Purdue/UF matchup
One poster on Facebook suggested that Purdue only play ranked teams from now on. We could be national champs!

I don't see any bowl projections have any big 10 teams going to the gator bowl. they all have the BIG 10 teams going to the music city bowl. I know those two bowls are somehow connected and the big 10 only goes to one of them. can somebody post what the arrangement between going to the gator bowl verses music city bowl is?
