Although it'd be nice to see him still chasing a deserved NFL roster spot, at least the hometown area can keep boasting of a hero -- Danny Anthrop has completed his academy training en route to joining the Lafayette Police Department.

Danny also will be assisting with Central Catholic's team this year, but today's announcement on WLFI TV-18 showed flashes of that 4.3 speed CC fans always used to see ... and what Purdue fans could've seen through his senior season if only he'd red-shirted after the ACL
