Boo De Oliveira out as Purdue softball coach

Another glaring sign the athletic department isn’t dedicated in turning this program around. They took over a month just to promote an assistant coach. Unbelievable

Forgive me. Im not plugged into this team as much. But looking at their records they have not been great. Was this new coach on staff similar to a CKG situation with CSV?

I am surprised too. Oliveria was not successful by almost any measure and I am so surprised they would not “go in a new direction.” And Frezzotti has no HC experience? I wish her the best but one has to assume that no one with more experience and proven success could be lured here for what Bobinski was willing to pay. .

She might be great who knows, but the thing I have is the timing of it all. It took over a month for this hire. I was going to post about how long it was taking, I maybe thought they were going after a Oklahoma or FSU assistant and had to wait for the season to end. And maybe they were… But this anticlimactic hire screams “we tried to get other candidates but they all turns us down so here’s a retread from our past failed staff who has no head coaching experience.”

The Uindy coach down the road as turned in a legendary career, and they settle for this.

Definitely not inspiring, hope she works out though, rooting to be wrong!
