First of all, congratulations to Deangelo Yancey for getting drafted in the fifth round to the Packers. He keeps the streak alive. He will be a perfect fit. A heck of a steal in the fifth round with a talented quarterback. Some of the "experts" gave the pick a low grade. I expect him to have a very long career.

Also, congratulations to Jordan Roos and Jason King. I am not thrilled King chose the Patriots, but maybe he will be the next Boiler to get a Super Bowl ring. Making that team as an undrafted free agent will be very difficult. Roos going to Seattle makes sense. I can't believe Roos didn't get drafted and I am dissapointed that the Colts didn't reach out and sign him. I think Roos has all of the physical attributes to succeed. I imagine he competes for a starting spot quickly.

Edit: Cameron Posey has now reportedly signed with Carolina.

Second Edit: Domo signed with the Jets! If he can get healthy, he should compete for a spot. I like his opportunity, but they really need a QB solution.

Is Domo next to sign? Big physical WRs should easily find a spot on atleast a practice squad. I think he gets picked up, and hopefully he makes a roster and is given a chance. (Later answering my own question... yes! J E T S.)

A lot of good Boilers in this draft class. I think Yancey and Roos have the best shot at long careers, but King, Posey, and Domo should make the final cut on a roster at some point.

I don't think King will stick anywhere, but Roos has a good chance somewhere, Posey could be like that #11 that plays for the Cowboys but needs to get stronger.

King is probably the least likely to make a final roster, especially where he is at. But he is strong enough the atleast make a few practice squads, bounce around, and get a chance.

Domo could make it on the Jets. They just had a WR go down for the season next year with an ACL injury

As a Lifetime Packers fan (since the Ice bowl in '64), I kind of feel bad for Yancy. The Packers already have Nelson, Adams and Cobb. Geronimo Allison looked good down the stretch. Janis knows the system. They signed that FA TE from the Patriots. At least, it appears Montgomery will remain at RB.

And the Packers supposedly got a steal drafting LSU's Dupree in the 7th round. To make the team, Yancy is going to have to contribute in special teams and possibly handle punt and kick returns.

Yes, the packers throw a lot of hail Mary passes, but that's usually when they're behind. the majority of their passes are short over the middle routes where they expect the receiver to catch the ball and evade tacklers. the majority of their routes are not fly patterns. the packers also don't like players who drop passes. those that dropped passes despite their talent are no longer Packers.

Yancy has his work cut out for him. The Packers have a tradition for having quality receivers. It's kind of like being a Marine. the road is tough, but if you make it, you will be remembered as being one of the best !

Yancy also needs to work on his Lambeau leaping ability and playing football in late January ! Something a lot of other receivers (Bears) never experience.

Learning to catch the ball would not hurt either!!!

Janis has been ok,but He dropped one against the Colts last year that he could have scored on,putting the Packers ahead.Allison was a pleasant surprise, but I think De Angelo has just as much potential as He has.I agree that Yancey has his work cut out for him,but if Green Bay was real satisfied with the back ups they have, would they have drafted two WRS?
