Boilermakers end skid (link)

Well, they did play way, way better, looking like the team that opened the BT, 5-0. And it certainly helped that Nebraska was minus 2 starters including their all-conference point guard. But this Purdue team wanted to win today and they did. Fantasies about national impact are just that, but, besides MD and OSU, this team can beat anyone in the league IF they shoot the ball. Even in having a decent lead at the half, the Boilers missed a bevy of wide open shots which is what has been killing them. They just do not have consistent shooters. Today, for whatever reason, they got a lot of inside buckets, more than a while and when they started actually hitting some outside shots it became a rout. Now two winnable home games and a chance to play on the second day of the BTT with the opponent surely a lesser team. Could still make the Dance. Key for this team is still the D and they played really well today, reminiscent of early season. Don't know why they woke up, but it would be nice to see them go out this year playing like this. Keys as a sophomore could become a special player.

They can still get to 10 conference wins if they take care of business at home in these last two games. All things considered, we'd all have taken a 10 win conference season before the season started. After a 5-0 conference start we started wanting more and we had some disappointing losses over the last 10 games but they still have a chance to get to a 10-8 conference record and possibly the 5th seed in the BTT where we could earn a shot at IU in Indy.
