may have a lot of work ahead of him.
  • Painter has never really been able to get over the hump at Purdue. He has had trouble recruiting elite talent (after the Baby Boilers) and his performance in the NCAA tourney has been marginal.
  • Versyp has taken an elite women's basketball program and made it middle of the pack in the Big Ten
  • Even Shondell seems to have lost his magic with the volleyball program.
Given Bobinski's great success with his first hire (Brohm), it may make sense to begin making some moves with Burke's leftovers in the revenue sports. There's just no reason for Purdue's basketball programs to struggle with the Western Kentuckys of the world.

Painter should be gone if we don't make the NCAA. Same treatment of coaches, as down south. Bring in a proven recruiter.

I've never been on that bandwagon.

But, seeing what Bryce Drew is doing at Vandy in terms of recruiting. And knowing his pedigree I am sure he can coach too... Yeah give me some of that!

I just think the ceiling will always stay low for painter and the Risk isn't that high to try something new.

Not saying I'm all the way there, but I'm moving in that direction for sure.

I think CMP biggest knock is his willingness to adjust during a game. Elite coaches do it, painter doesn’t. Keady who I loved had this problem as well. There are times motion and man isn’t the answer, you have to be willing to mix it up especially when your losing.

In fairness, probably a little premature to be thinking about Purdue’s next move if they don’t get in the tourney.

He can't adjust anything cuz he don't have the players to adjust with and that boils down to recruiting. We have to find somebody that can recruit Indiana kids The Talented Indiana kids we miss out on them too much
