Playing off the rankings discussion, thought I'd compare a few teams' resumes. Without peaking, rank these teams in order and then see if you can guess who's who.

Team A:
13-2, KenPom #11, BPI #10, RPI #19
vs. Top 50: 1-2
vs. Top 100: 5-2

Team B:
15-2, KenPom #5, BPI #2, RPI #15
vs. Top 50: 6-1
vs. Top 100: 8-2

Team C:
14-1, KenPom #15, BPI #16, RPI #5
vs. Top 50: 3-1
vs. Top 100: 7-1

Team D:
15-2, KenPom #2, BPI #3, RPI #23
vs. Top 50: 3-2
vs. Top 100: 4-2

Team E:
14-2, KenPom #18, BPI #25, RPI #3
vs. Top 50: 4-1
vs. Top 100: 5-1

B, D, C, A, E

I did some playing around with an accumulation of data this morning and I ranked them in a top 20 this way:
D&B (1 and 2), A (15), E (18), C (Unr)

The polls say D, A, B, E, C

<<SPOILER ALERT>>

A= Wichita St (ranked #5 AP, #5 Coaches)
B= Purdue (ranked #5 AP, #7 Coaches)
C= Clemson (ranked #19 AP, #17 Coaches)
D= Michigan St (ranked #4 AP, #4 Coaches)
E= Seton Hall (ranked #13 AP, #15 Coaches)

I found the Wichita St and Clemson comparison most interesting. A lot is going to get sorted out in the next 2 months, but that is a span of about 4 seeding lines (#5-#19) with barely distinguishable resumes.

Also somewhat satisfying to see that nobody agrees with RPI.

Curious what that accumulation of data is
Looking at my scribbling and circles and filled-in circles, I'm going to guess that I lumped teams into groups of four based on BPI, RPI, KenPom, and KenPoms Def and Off rankings. At least that's what it looks like. Then awarded points for each group, added them up, and ranked the top 20 teams.

Now all you need is a catchy name for your aggregate. I nominate DDDI!
