My 7th grade basketball coach in Wabash, Indiana in the early 90's. He was an incredible coach and mentor, and a big influence on Indiana high school and AAU basketball. And he loved Purdue. It always brings up memories this time of year reading about the tournament in Fort Wayne. Ray Sims, the long-time coach of Fort Wayne Snider, was the varsity coach of Wabash when Bill was heavily involved at that time. Also a good coach and mentor. Indiana high school basketball was incredible back then, with the entire state playing in one class. Bill was a big influence with AAU basketball with Tom Spiece. Anyways, just brings up lots of memories. Rest in peace.
