Statistically better in all but TO and Blocks. Put up numbers not seen in 30 years. Only big that was up for Wooden Award and can't even win best player at his position? Who votes for this? I hope it gets released so we can scold people.
The argument is that even though he was a natural four, most of his numbers came at the 5. That may have cost him. He should have been up for best Center.

I had to look this up after you made this post and had no idea about this actually being true. I knew he was always considered one of the dirtiest players in the league and an overall asshole but this takes him to a new low in my eyes.
How can someone be robbed of something they never had. ALERT....Caleb Swanigan was not the best player in the game this year. Not even close.
Actually it's very close, I would give the nod to the kid from Kansas, but not by much. He is most certainly the best non guard in the nation this season.

Just another example how how corrupt NCAA college basketball is becoming. UNC, Kansas, Louisville and other powerhouse schools continue to break rules and go virtually unscathed. Swanigan works his ass off and puts up the best numbers on a good team and they give the award to some other guy who doesn't even come close to matching Swanigan's body of work. Embarrassing. Whoever voted Motley over Swanigan needs to be drug tested as well as investigated for fraud or bribery. No way this happens without something going on behind the scenes.
