Once the ball goes inside to Biggie he often forces its and puts up bad shots. He's hurting us in this game.

I agree. Hammons is blowing it in this respect too. A shot in the paint is Option #1 for sure, but when you get doubled 8 feet away from the hoop, give a head fake and pass to the open man.

Swanigan shooting that last three was unacceptable. Just so frustrating that correctable decision making continues to inhibit this team in big situations.

They fought hard, and I think deserve a 3 seed, and there's no shame in losing to MSU, but this game was one that Purdue was a few plays away from winning, and they didn't get it done.

If Biggie had hit that 3 what would you have been saying? Yes maybe could have gotten a better shot. But disagree that it's unacceptable. He is a FRESHMAN. I actually am kinda impressed Biggie is willing to take a shot like that even though he missed. I'd argue next year he hits those shots. Someone has to be willing to step up in big time situations and take those shots. Biggie is obviously not afraid to and it's possible he will become a great player because of it.

Now I'd argue even though Hill played well. Hill should not have been taking that shot. But hey Costello got a hand on it. Purdue played well lost to possibly best team in country.

I don't recall a single kick out from the post the entire game. It's possible I missed one.
Wait. I remember one. AJ kicked it out and Hill of all people got a 3 pointer out of it. Good thing we didn't try that more often!

Being willing to jack up a "3" isn't an admirable trait. Understanding your role, letting the game come to you and taking a shot in the flow of the offense IS.

Lot of forced shots by Hammons and Swanigan today. Which is frustrating because we've been so effective at passing back out of the post lately and getting in better position in the post after.
