We need to stop talking and commiserating about not winning the Big and focus on winning the NCAA. Purdue fans may think that is crazy but when an organization sets goals to be mediocre that is exactly what they get. Both Painter and Keady routinely have said that our goal is "to win the Big and do well in the NCAA". I certainly don't think that is what Izzo says to his team. Recently ESPN had a program about Jimmy Valvano. When he took over NC St his first meeting with his team he told them they were going to win the NCAA even though initially they were not a great program he maintained the message and ultimately achieved it.
