7-0 v. Wednesday teams
6-2 v. Thursday teams
2-3 v. Friday teams
When it was all said and done, Purdue faced two of the other double bye teams twice and the other team on the road. So much for the easy schedule argument.
It's worth noting that Purdue lost only once to a team that finished outside the top 6.

All of those types of stats are skewed this year because of how much of a log jam it was
You wonder what the reaction would be if the schedule had been flipped and Purdue started out 4-4 in conference (15-4) overall, very respectable......and then finished 11-1 to be 15-5 (26-5). Just depends upon how you look at it - in the same position record-wise.
We shall see. Painter probably finishes second to Collins for BTCOY.....he's got his limitations and makes his mistakes, but he did a very good job this year with a pretty young team playing with a target on its back most of the second half season in one of the more physical conference seasons I can recall in a while under the new rules.

Im not so sure collins gets it after 3 straight losses. Yeah they finishes at the top of the big 10, but 1 more loss would out them right in the middle somewhere.
Just in case we missed court rugby the last 2 months , now we have 4 days of Gladiator Rugby to see who can foul Edey the most and not get called...."let the fouling commence."...
And Maryland has two teams entered. Will be an interesting match-up if they have to play themselves on Friday. Do you think they'd go red and white vs. black and gold or just have a throw back game, shirts and skins?
