A few thoughts/questions:

• If UM, MSU or Wisky can go 16-4 it should be good for at least a share of the title. Purdue and Maryland are technically still in it but are going to need to win out and get some help.
• As much as I dislike Vlad and find Tschetter to be obnoxious, I'd rather see UM win the conference than MSU. For all his whining, I don't mind F'Izzo, but I really dislike this MSU team. I'll root for them on Friday as I think an MSU loss keeps Purdue alive, but would love to see them hit the skids in the home stretch.
• Sitting at two losses, does Michigan eliminate Purdue and likely cement at least a share of the title with a win at home vs MSU on Friday? I have a hard time seeing them lose five total games in conference (three additional losses) if they beat MSU with remaining games @Neb, vs Rut, vs IL, vs MD and @MSU.
• MSU controls their own destiny with three losses to date and two games left vs UM. Rough schedule though with Wisky at home and a trip to Maryland remaining.
• Sitting at four losses, Wisky looks to have a great shot at a share of the conference title if they can win @MSU on 3/2. Outside of that one they have OR, UW and PSU at home and Minny on the road.
• Maryland at five losses has the potential to make things interesting if they take care of business vs USC and can then beat MSU at home on 2/26. Win those two and the trip to Michigan on 3/5 could be for a share of the title.
• Purdue is going to need some serious help to garner a share and at this point should probably be more worried about getting the ship back on track over the last four games.

Interesting thoughts.

It may be simple, certainly cliche, but all the Boilers should be thinking about is the next game....preparing for Indiana in a hostile environment. And I'm fairly confident, that's exactly what they are doing. Painter and his staff have been through the wars. They can't control what the other teams do.....and there's enough going on with other teams to deal with themselves too. Look at Illinois, who is dealing with a flu virus hitting the team.

If I was forced to wager, I would think a good result now would be getting one of the four double-byes in the BTT. For once, getting the extra rest and preparation may be beneficial.

Purdue is good - capable of being really good......maybe the Boilers get reconnected and also find their collective shooting touch.......maybe not.

I think that's right. This roster is certainly flawed but if they can get some things shored up a top four finish and decent NCAAT seed seems reasonable. Start by beating IU.

Then, as you said, if the shooting comes around in the post season, who knows where this could go.
