So happy we beat Iowa -- just don't like them -- and a ranked team, too. Happy to hear some unsung players made big contributions. A big W for this team and that always makes my weekend a bit better. Will be watching it on DVR in a few minutes.
More importantly, my nine year-old daughter scored her first basket today for her basketball team. The reason this is so big in the grand scheme is that she was diagnosed with a tumor on her spine when she was five. After a spinal biopsy the tumor was determined to be benign but required very delicate spinal surgery that would remove the tumor and segments of her affected spinal column. Brackets would fuse the spine together. After surgery she needed to learn how to walk again. And then a long assimilation back to being a little girl. Fast forward -- the smile on her face today knocked me out. She plays hard and runs the floor. I'm so grateful. Of course I have dreams of her becoming a Lady Boiler --
Focus now on kicking IU's ass --
