Curious what that final score is. That's a lot of points.
Are you thinking something like 41-30 where the Purdue defense doesn't show up to play? Or more like 57-14 where Brohm doesn't let up on the gas all day?

Yeah, I'm thinking something more like 57-14 or even 64-7. I see fewer failed drives and red zone issues for Purdue's offense against UConn. Also, Purdue's offense started slow, but began to click at the end. A lot of the early struggles were from G. Miller having blocking issues from the TE position. That should get cleaned up one way or another. UConn's defense will be constantly on the field, and Purdue's offense will have short fields.

Purdue could have easily added another 19 points against Oregon State based on the converting more touchdowns and Payne catching that pass on that trick play. So, this would have led to 49 points against a better defense. TJ Sheffield is likely back, so the return game and slot could be more explosive too.

I also think Purdue will call its normal offense and defense, even with a large lead, as an opportunity to build depth and practice with the backups. UConn can always get a cheap score too when the backups are in.

Generally, I expect to see more scoring on average for Purdue this season based on what I saw from the first game. My expectation is at least 32-35 ppg.

I agree, I think it's going to be difficult for Purdue to leave points on the table against this UCONN team. Fresno was up 31-0 at half. That was with punting on 4 of their first 5 possessions in the 1st game of the year. I think this being our 2nd game eliminates some of that rust and we score on 4 of our first 5 possessions, and are up maybe 17 or 21 to 0 at the end of the first quarter.
