Why were they frozen? Illegal activity? It’s just minor details…usually frozen assets stay frozen until prosecution…and we all know where the Democrats are on prosecuting criminals today.

Speaking of details, we aren't JUST unfreezing the assets. On Friday, President Biden signed an executive order that would seize the Afghan assets and move half to a fund designated for humanitarian aid for Afghanistan.
So ya, we are giving them 7B.

Prosecution? Who? How many? In what court? Are they in custody? How do you propose we put them in custody? What law did they break? Are you making up arguments so you can bring up the "soft on crime" talking point?

I highly doubt a single penny of that money goes towards any humanitarian efforts. It's most likely to end up in the hands of war lords, tribal leaders etc and spent on everything but the people in need.

The EO also was enacted to protect the assets from 9/11 families that want access to the funds......which has nothing to do with the current issue of unfreezing the assets for humanitarian aid.
