Biden versus Trump - One Chart

At what point did your wage increase stop keeping up with inflation?

Still waiting for all of the liberals who are still in the Biden camp to explain how the Biden economy has benefited them.

Individually a few might be better off? Maybe their handouts ran out, so they had to get a new job & are bragging on the new job under Biden?

But as a whole people are living paycheck to paycheck with inflation beating their families budgets to death. Besides that, I have lost thousands in my retirement account. I sure other have too, but likely won't admit it Thus, not a lot to brag about under the Biden economy that is opening the door for the common middle class to the poor house.

Can you source this graphic? It shows wages going up in early 2020 when the whole economy was shutting down because of Covid. Then it shows a huge loss of wages in early 2021 when there was a huge job shortage and wages rose to match inflation and the lack of available workers.

I don't need a chart.

Had more cash under Trump.

Retirement accounts were higher

Gas was cheaper for my car
Food was cheaper.
Heating was cheaper.
Housing was affordable.
Diesel transport of goods was cheaper.
My business costs were cheaper.

Airline tickets were more affordable.
Airlines had far less major failures leaving passengers stranded.

Car lots actually were full of new cars.

Major banks didn't fail.

Country not overrun with migrants.
Fentanyl deaths were not acceptable policy losses.
Death, rape and child trafficking @ the border wasn't seen as OK.

I could go on, but the results of D rule have been highly educational to budgets of every age group. I imagine the most of the middle & lower class is as fed up as I am & are ready for a change back to normality & prosperity of R rule.......even if it is, heaven forbid, under Trump.

Democrats champion their campaign under all of this including CRIME. Their people must like it because they keep voting for it.

Don't care how the 40% Ds vote. Obviously, they have a different priority system than their pocketbook. And they don't care about fentanyl deaths, the border deaths, rapes & child trafficking due to D border policy. So they are lost, too easily manipulated by their media masters.

Care about the 20% in the middle. They have some sense. Can be persuaded either way. But need right messenger on fixing the D mess. Hopefully economic motivation overcomes poor messenger, if Trump wins on R side, God forbid.

Democrats really like abortion too. Republicans have to navigate around this issue in some way.

The problem is that there are people that will still vote D because that's just what you do. Vote blue no matter who. They don't pay attention to the rest of what you listed.

Who cares how the 40% of these easily manipulated media sheep vote? Forget them, they are lost until they get older and wise up. Many never do.

I only care about the 60% ....need the right messenger to reach ALL of them. Trumps likely not it. He caps out around 49%.....and the Ds know this.

That sounds like a you issue.
Huh? Mind expanding on that teddy? How about discussing the issues pointed out. I guess the reason is that anyone with a brain knows that the numbers are correct. The fact is those without a brain vote democratic due to Main Street media constantly putting fear in their head about that evil trump.

Not the same graph, but basically the same information from CNBC showing wages spiking around June 2020. I’m guessing a good portion of the workers saw a spike in “wages” when the pandemic checks were sent out

Hence why I quoted the specific ones under your control.

If you can't see that, I guess that's fair because it's probably very late for seniors to be up.

You quoted my retirement accounts.
You don't understand economics and money supply if you think Biden's spending & energy policies hasn't caused our inflation.....thus leading the fed to raise interest rates......and in turn hurting every American's retirement account.

That is the retirement account of EVERYONE. So it is NOT an issue that is just about me. As this includes even you, if you have savings.

Might be too deep for some to understand the above, but short version.....Biden caused this & it affects everyone.

Except that it's been proven time and time again that corporate greed is a much bigger cause, and several CEOs are on record boasting during earnings calls that they used inflation as an excuse to price gouge well beyond any actual monetary inflation.

Corporations were raising prices to get ahead of inflation. They estimate how much they expect inflation to rise and they raise their prices to compensate. If they didn't do that, they'd take huge losses and could cause large cuts to employment, etc. This is just another congressional political stunt. They know how things work, but they need a way to get their voters to look favorable on them.

I'm not saying I agree with this practice. Just that this is what is happening. So politicians are pointing out the gap between when inflation really hits and corporations getting ahead of the curve and saying, "see, it's not really our fault!"

Just to hammer the point home, the group you gave the link to their testimony is this:

The Groundwork Collaborative is a left-of-center activist group with a particular focus on economic issues. It is a fiscally-sponsored project of the New Venture Fund, a 501(c)(3) arm of the Arabella Advisors “dark money” network of liberal pass-through funding organizations. 1 The organization was launched in 2018 to promote left-wing economic policies. 2

Gee, a left wing activist group promoting left wing economic policies. Who would have thought such a group would come to the defense of the Democrats.

Teddy is the type to rail against the Wall Street fat cats and hedge fund managers raking in millions, not understanding that his 401K is managed by those same people he's wishing ill will upon.

Inflation has lots of causes. Glad you agree the D spending and D energy policy are two of those.
