Been having a big year. Wondering if he will be the guy that keeps our streak alive. Danny E is also intriguing. Anyone think these 2 get drafted?

I was thinking that today too. He has speed and is 260 in college as a senior. Think of how he could transform his game focusing on football 24x7. I’ll be a fan of whoever drafts him.

Side note: yeah, E-Z-choo choo too :)

The defense actually has some pretty solid talent. No depth though. I wish some of those guys were going to be around a bit longer. I'd add Neal to the list of guys who deserve a long look from the NFL.

Love Danny E, but it’s more about effort than NFL talent with him. Not sure he has a position at the next level. Bentley for sure. Gelen probably gets a sniff as a UDFA.

I think with a strong showing at the Combine (if he gets invited), Bentley might be a second day draft guy (round 2 or 3). He has shown improvement all four years, has the size to play MLB, and speed to cover in to the flat when needed.

Overall, I think Bentley, Hunte, and Robinson get drafted and McCollum and Danny E go undrafted. Possibly Phillips finds a camp as an UDFA as well.

Also, Hazell will try to take some form of credit by playing those guys for four years and for his stellar coaching while at Purdue...if only he was given more time....tic

McCollum should get drafted if he can get healthy. Bentley should be a round 5-7 guy. Hunte will likely be unfa but make a roster. Nobody on the offensive line or the skill positions. Robinson will at a minimum go udfa. He is a dang good player and should make a roster. I would say a maximum of 3 drafted, but 4 should make a roster next year. McCollum is a leader and a tackling machine. Every team could use a guy like him. Hunte is a man corner that has done really well this year. Robinson switched positions but is incredibly athletic for his size. He has had some very good and impressive games and all of the film as an end. Then there is Bentley. Intriguing as an NFL prospect because of his play making ability. He had been a star at the collegiate level on some very vey bad teams. Curious to see if he gets a sniff.

I left EZE off that list. He is athletic and is very strong. A very opportunistic guy that always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He is more like a practice squad player or special teams player.

Based on the amount of NFL talent, this defense is over achieving. All of the defensive talent just so happens to be on the same side of the ball. Holt might be the most important coach on the team and the defense has been impressive, so I think at least 3 players see an NFL roster even after all of the early season cuts.

Anthrop showed alot more, Phillips is small and doesn't block well neither.
You don’t think that a single NFL team, which can bring in an unlimited amount of FA’s, wont bring him in for a look during a OTA or a free agent camp? I’m not claiming the kid is making a roster...just getting an invite as a FA.

no, sorry. I think Mahoungo has a better chance.

Every game I watch Bentley and all I can think is how much he has NFL written all over him. Size, speed, toughness, physical, good teammate. He should be first-team all B1G, but doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Phillips?? lololol NO he's a scrub

I'll remind all those that think Phillips isn't even worthy of getting an undrafted free agent deal for a rookie camp or anything....in 2015, a guy from Shippensburg and a guy from Ottawa were given UDFA deal for camps at Arizona and Atlanta. I could go on with totally unlikely guys to get the most basic of looks from an NFL team as an UDFA for a rookie camp....all he has to do is show a little bit of something during the team's scout day and he'll get picked up after the draft. NOW, I'll totally say I was wrong if he runs slower than a 4.55 40....if that's the case, no way at all....but if he can get in the 4.4's, he'll get a sniff some where as an UDFA.

If Phillips had 4.4 speed our passing offense would be on another level. 4.6 is probably optimistic.

Big difference between being fast and playing fast...I don't think Purdue has guys that are able to play fast at this point. When I say able to play fast, Stubblefield and Standeford come to mind as guys who weren't really fast but could play fast. Dorien Bryant was the rare type of player who was incredibly fast and could play fast as well. Just don't think Purdue has any guys that are fast and can play fast at this point...that's what makes Rondale Moore such a big target for Purdue if they can reel him in.
