Bane

No but i doubt he'll receive a scholarship offer. Sounds like it would have already happened if it was going to. He's just some unrated 2 star so personally i don't really care. I do think we need another body though. 9 scholarship players is not enough.

Bane was scheduled to do a workout with a bunch of other potential recruits and didn't attend. That seems to have pretty much closed the door although no one ever knows with stuff like this.

just saw this and called a friend who played for Dayton , he had taken Bane to Dayton to see a game this past winter and talk to the coaches, they had a couple of scholarships left but said he wasn't what they were looking for, he said he would try to find out from Bane what is going on, if he calls me the next so many days I will let ya know

Could the lack of a Bane offer illustrate Painter's confidence with the 2017 class?
I think it has more to do with seeing him play AAU and then his not showing up for the workout the other non committed players went thru. None of the others were offered either.

Hope the guy does well, good team player, good in classroom, and my friend said Bane was easy to get along with and it was all about the team.

Bane announcing Thursday, between TCU and Miami, my source said he is going to TCU, will see how good my source is Thursday. Just info for those interested

I would pick TCU if I were him. I know Miami (OH) (Oxford) is closer (maybe even closer to Richmond area than West Laffy?) but TCU might be building toward NCAA Tourney appearances with Jamie Dixon back at his alma mater and have already picked up highly-regarded 2016 PG Jaylen Fisher, the UNLV de-commit.

Yeah to me it's not close. A Big 12 school vs. a MAC school? No question take TCU. Dixon is also a big time hire. The only thing that may push him towards Miami (OH) are playing time concerns. But given that TCU is rebuilding and not an elite Big 12 school, I don't think that should be an issue there.
