Ball Screens

Painter's teams have never knew how to guard them. Guy will not adapt. Going to cost us.

A bench warmer just got 3 easy buckets off of it. If he can do it what can too 10 teams do
When the pick defender hedges the screen the wing defenders have to pinch to threaten the pass to the roller. The wings were staying out on their men so there was no help to delay the pass to the roller until Biggie could recover. So yes it was not well defended but don't blame Swanigannin in this case. It was a team breakdown driven by no respect for Priller. Notice it stopped happening when Bryant was back in...well for a little while;).

I can buy that. And i agree that it can be defended better while still hedging, but it seems like we struggle with it every game.

We do struggle with it because Biggie and Haas are not the quickest at changing direction and getting back to the roller. It was just not all Biggies fault in that specific situation with Priller. That was something Juan Johnson was far better at, and Hammons to some degree, but then again compare their builds.

Even Hammons struggled with it at times, especially early in his career. That's the trade-off of recruiting traditional big men in an era where few coaches run their offense through the post any more.
