Down goes Wisky again. Given our tie-breaker win, beat IU at home and we're Big Ten champs.

Say we do that, lose at NU and Wisky wins out. Do we cut down the nets a la Clappy regardless?

Thankfully we put ourselves in position to be able to back into a championship.

What an "entrance......"

I am pretty sure the tie-breaker is only for BTT seeding - in that scenario we'd still share with Wisconsin.

Yes.....just seeding for BTT. If more than one school has the same conference record, they're all considered conference champions, regardless of tie-breakers.

This is actually an interesting question. Assuming we beat IU and secure a Big Ten championship, will it be acknowledged by the team in any way after the game?
On one hand it would nice to celebrate it in front of the home crowd on senior night, in front of IU no less. On the other hand does that take away the sense of urgency for the NW game?

Just don't cut down the nets. There's still work to be done.

I want us to be playing our best basketball these last 2 games....
Against PSU and UM looked like we were only hittin on 6 or 7 cylinders, we need too fine tune and kick it back up to all 8 cylinders, put the pedal to the metal, and quite frankly dominate and send a message to the other teams, Purdue is going to "Run The Table", in the BTT. Difficult yes, Possible too do, without a doubt, very possible!'
Time to Believe and Achieve!!

Honest question: Have we ever cut down the nets for a conference championship? I remember the trophy being on hand for the home finales in 1988 and 1996, but can't recall ever cutting down the nets for a regular season title.

Now that I think of it, Tan Man's stunt is the only time I think I've ever seen the nets come down for a regular season B1G championship by any team. Leave it to Crean!

Back in, pull in, ram it in....what ever it takes to get the title. I had no guilt today rooting for MSU. None whatsoever. LOL
