I'll be interested in seeing what all of you Boilermaker faithful would choose.

I really don't. I think it's a valid question to ponder, in regards to what fans on here value the most, which obviously also correlates with the history of the program.

Well considering we haven't had one of these since 1980, I know what the answer should be...

Some have said in the past that they value an outright B1G regular season title over an appearance in the Final Four, if given only one choice. There's already 4 votes for it in the poll above.

It's a valid question, but they also aren't all equal. A regional title is significantly harder and less likely to happen than the other 2 choices.

Not that they are also mutually exclusive choices, but they often are. I mean, would you prefer going to a Final Four once in 10 years and not winning your conference any of those years? Or would you rather win your conference 3-4 times in 10 years and not go to the Final Four?

But the thing is - you just need to win. Personally, I couldn't name the 4 teams that went to the Final Four last year - but I could tell you who won the Big Ten regular season and tournament. But hell yeah, I'd love to go to a Final Four.

Overall, you just want a reputation for success. This isn't even that extreme of an example, but you look at Michigan - it's hard to believe they were in a Final Four a few years ago. They haven't been relevant in the Big Ten since. They'll make the tournament, but you don't really think of them as "players" in the Big Ten the last few seasons.

Yeah, it's crazy that as big of a college bball fan as I am, I can't name the final four from even last year. Syracuse, Nova, UNC. Honestly I can't think of the other team.

I love the grind of the whole season, watching other games and rooting for them to lose. The crowds at most places in our conference are great. So it kind of irks me every March when suddenly everybody cares about the sport and think they know the teams because they've listened to a few taking heads...And they say that success in March is the only thing that matters.

My rant for the day!
