B1G Network Analyst J.Laymen First to Step Up

Well we are 7 point underdogs. I like this bet. May even take the money line.

I saw that and listening to B1G this morning they were certainly aware of it too...Which was why I found it interesting we were Layman's pick for Week#3 upset...Can't help but think as a fairly recent B1G alum footballer that he has developed a real man-crush on Coach Brohm and his play calling...But I'll take that in a heartbeat after the last several years. Now hopefully we can prove him right.

With all the negativity we have had around our program for the last few years, it is nice to be on the other side for a change.

My concern for an outright upset in this game is game temperature and humidity. We don't have a ton of depth, and while we've played with passion and determination the first two games, the weather can wear down our first strings fast, especially into the 2nd half against an up-tempo air raid type team.

I'd love an upset, but I don't know if we have the total number of horses yet to pull one out in this specific situation

I think it'll be a shootout like 51-45.

I agree about the depth issues. But I also don't know much about Mizzou's depth on Defense. Agree with the poster below that a shootout seems likely.

I expect Purdue to win. I think if Purdue loses, that would be the upset. I was more worried about the Ohio game and putting back to back impressive performances. I think Purdue wins by 7-10 points but looks in control the whole time. Run the ball and wear them down. Give our defense a rest and make them beat us!
